Paul Gray leads the home devices research, spanning television sets, smart home, consumer electronics, and domestic appliances. His main research area is TV sets, focusing on the European region, broadcast technology, smart TV, and new TV features. Paul is also heavily engaged in researching the development of the Ultra HD ecosystem.
He joined Omdia, formerly IHS Markit, more than 10 years ago. With more than 30 years’ experience in the TV set supply chain working for NXP and Philips in semiconductors and displays, Paul continues to research the TV set business. He has also worked on wearable and media devices and has tracked and forecast the smart TV business from its very beginning. Paul has been cited by, among others, the Financial Times, Korea Times, Korea Daily, Nikkei, and Le Monde. He has also offered expert viewpoints in online, radio, and television programming. Paul holds a degree in electrical engineering and a diploma in industrial studies.
As part of Omdia’s Components and Devices team, Ken Park heads the Professional AV Devices research team, specializing in global TV set market research with display technology expertise and various industry experiences.
His Pro AV team main research areas are digital signage, LED video displays, desktop monitor and specialty display devices. Ken provides excellent leadership in leading Professional AV devices research team and insightful viewpoints in analyzing and forecasting the global TV market and brand strategies at the same time. Consequently, Ken covers both TV and professional AV market and technology perfectly.
Prior to joining Omdia, formerly IHS Markit including DisplaySearch acquired by IHS, in 2008, Ken was in marketing and sales, starting with software engineer in the visual display division at Samsung Electronics. He has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Kookmin University in Seoul, Korea.
With 10 years of experience in consumer electronics and security markets, Blake Kozak delivers market forecasts and strategic analysis of smart home ecosystems, connecting the dots between device manufacturers, services, and adjacent markets.
At Omdia, Blake produces reports and insights that encompass critical market signifiers, such as industry revenue intake, the market’s performance over time, and historical and new business models, and opportunities for expansion and growth. Prior to joining Omdia (formerly IHS Markit), Blake had been the author of numerous syndicated reports including intruder alarms, electronic physical access control, access control as a service (ACaaS), perimeter security, and residential security. Blake is also a regular speaker at industry events.
Before joining Omdia, Blake managed the access control system of Ohio University and interned with a US congressional leader in Washington, DC.
As part of Omdia’s consumer devices team, Jusy is responsible for wireless and PC research, with a focus on smartphones, feature phones, laptops, and tablets. His research covers mobile device shipment, production, and technology trends, as well as companies’ strategies. Jusy also coordinates Omdia’s wider consumer electronics research in Asia.
Jusy joined IHS Markit (now Omdia) in 2004 and became a leading TV research analyst. His work has concentrated on demand forecasting and competitive, pricing, and technology trend analysis. He has also served as project manager for consultancy projects related to display technology, market and consumer trends, and feasibility study and cost analysis for manufacturers, government institutions, and investment companies. He frequently speaks at major industry events around the world, including display conferences like SID and IMID. Based in South Korea, Jusy speaks fluent Korean, English, and Japanese and has a broad network of key contacts in South Korea and Japan.
As the lead analyst for the tablet and notebook PC market at Omdia, Jeff is responsible for primary research and forecasting on mobile PCs (tablet and notebook PCs) and the emerging PC market, including gaming notebook PCs, always-connected PCs (5G notebook PCs), and wearable PCs (virtual reality/augmented reality devices).
Prior to working at Omdia, Jeff was an engineer at Chunghwa Picture Tubes, where he led TV panel development projects and promoted products. He worked at Samsung Electronics Taiwan, winning the annual best sales award while handling HP’s monitor business account, and was a procurement manager at Benq for monitor panel and TV set purchasing and panel price trend analysis. Jeff joined DisplaySearch in 2010 as a value chain analyst for the tablet, notebook PC, monitor, and public display supply chain. Jeff graduated from Taiwan’s National Cheng Kung University with a degree in environmental engineering and holds an MBA from National Chengchi University in Taiwan.
