Senior Analyst, Consumer Electronics
An advocator for tech and all-round consumer electronics and audio junkie, TC Goh currently leads research on the global consumer electronics market spanning from devices, peripherals, and connectors. He conducts reports and analysis, including but not limited to Consumer Electronics Viewpoint Service, Interface Battleground and USB Type-C.
TC is also experienced with the manufacturing sector, having spent nearly a decade at Omdia as an analyst for the global machinery market, providing key trends and insights to empower manufacturers in their decision making.
Prior to joining Omdia, he was a server and storage advisor at Dell, where he was involved in the deployment, performance management, and design of server clusters for premium customers. TC holds a computer science degree from the University of Greenwich in London. He is based in Penang, Malaysia.
As part of Omdia’s consumer devices team, Jusy is responsible for wireless and PC research, with a focus on smartphones, feature phones, laptops, and tablets. His research covers mobile device shipment, production, and technology trends, as well as companies’ strategies. Jusy also coordinates Omdia’s wider consumer electronics research in Asia.
Jusy joined IHS Markit (now Omdia) in 2004 and became a leading TV research analyst. His work has concentrated on demand forecasting and competitive, pricing, and technology trend analysis. He has also served as project manager for consultancy projects related to display technology, market and consumer trends, and feasibility study and cost analysis for manufacturers, government institutions, and investment companies. He frequently speaks at major industry events around the world, including display conferences like SID and IMID. Based in South Korea, Jusy speaks fluent Korean, English, and Japanese and has a broad network of key contacts in South Korea and Japan.
Practice Lead, Consumer Electronics
Patrick leads the team of analysts focused on consumer electronics. While they cover a broad area of all home electronics products, there is a particular emphasis on understanding the evolving television market. Uncovering the trends and market direction helps to deliver the insights to forge future strategic decision making.
After graduating from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Patrick began his career as a retail buyer for Target Corporation. After eight years in senior buying roles, he switched sides to sell for manufacturers at national accounts. He also completed an MBA in Marketing. Working for both Casio and Philips, he sold literally billions of dollars of product to Best Buy and Target. After working for many years in sales, he joined Casio’s Tokyo office of Research and Development. There, he developed product strategy and consulted directly with the senior executive team.
With more than 15 years of research experience in the home appliances industry, Emir Lasic joined Omdia in 2022 as a principal analyst responsible for home appliances.
Prior to joining Omdia, Emir worked at MEDION as a product manager for household appliances. He was also a project manager for Germany-based wfk – Institute for Applied Research, where he was responsible for conducting research in the field of household appliances, industrial laundry machines, and textiles and detergents. Emir received his doctorate in 2014 from University Bonn, Germany. His research focus was on household appliances, consumer behavior, and sustainability.
Kelly Lee
Principal Analyst, Smart TV
Kelly is an experienced analyst in Omdia’s TV team, covering smart TV and TV cost analysis. As a principal analyst, she covers TV design and features reports, TV-related ICs, TV Bom cost, and business strategy analysis. She also focuses on smart home devices, applications, and voice assistant trends.
Prior to working at Omdia, Kelly was deputy manager of the corporate marketing division at Compal, where she provided market insights to cross BU vice president level. She has also worked in the TV Market Intelligence Team at TPV Taiwan ODM TV, providing TV market analysis to Europe and Japan sales leaders. She was also a senior industrial analyst responsible for the TV market, display technology, and big data application for the e-commerce and OTT market at IEK/ITRI in Taiwan. She was awarded the Best Research Project Award of IEK in 2016. She holds a master’s degree in technology of management from the National Taiwan Normal University in Taiwan and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Feng Chia University in Taiwan.

Principal Analyst, Smart Home
Jack Narcotta is the principal analyst for Omdia’s smart home, smart speaker, and smart display research, where he leverages more than 20 years of experience in strategic consulting, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to advise a diverse range of clients competing in the smart home market.
He specializes in analyzing emerging opportunities in the global smart home devices market and assessing the business models and routes to market within smart home service, solution, and device ecosystems. He has been closely monitoring smart home market dynamics for more than 20 smart home device types, dozens of countries, and the consumer purchasing journey. He has written extensively on the challenges faced by and opportunities present for device brands, communications service providers, interactive security companies, and the wider smart home industry.
Aaron West
Senior Analyst, Smartphones
In this role, he was responsible for research project management, including comparative testing of technology products and consumer surveys. He also reported on the energy efficiency and longevity of home appliances, as well as the product lifecycle and obsolescence of smartphones.
He has published articles in Which?, one of the UK’s largest subscription magazines, produced by the country’s largest consumer association.
He specializes in analyzing emerging opportunities in the global smart home devices market and assessing the business models and routes to market within smart home service, solution, and device ecosystems. He has been closely monitoring smart home market dynamics for more than 20 smart home device types, dozens of countries, and the consumer purchasing journey.
